It appears that my last blog entry was a flop with women in the 18-35 demographic. So as a tribute to them, this entry is not about sports. Nor will I mention Elisha Cuthbert or my undying passion for her. Well I mean I won’t again.
I had a really fun memorial day weekend. I drove to Tampa on Friday night after work to spend some time with my friends Tom and Anne and see some of the other Tampa pals I made over my two summers there. It was a really fun trip and I’m glad I made it.
One evening when I was bullshitting and lamenting about the unmitigated disaster which is my love life with Anne I told her that I was going to write off 2008 as far as women goes and just wait patiently for 2009. She then said something that got me thinking.
“There’s more of 2008 left than has actually passed.”
While I am still writing off my love life for 2008 (a total loss, like the Hindenberg), her comment made me put the rest of my life in a little perspective. Now as we approach the halfway point of the year, am I doing what I set out to do? Am I meeting goals or am I just getting by?
I guess one big goal is that I managed to stay employed for the first six months of the year (which considering how things have been going lately around my firm, is a fairly impressive feat). I have also managed to stay fairly fit and physically active thanks to people like Stacy and Alex pushing pushing me at the gym. So those are two big ones.
Now what I have to consider is what have I not done? What I ought to do in the coming six months. I should probably be more active in my family this coming six months, I have been absent because of work with the new adjustment, but I have to balance it out I reckon. I have lived away for so long it’s just easier not interacting with my family…
As far as my personal and professional goals, those of you who know me well, know what those things are and know my feelings moving forward on those things. I don’t want to lose my males 18-35 demographic getting into a detailed diatribe of my hopes and dreams for the 2nd half of 2008.
What are your goals for the 2nd half of 2008? Is it going the way you wanted it to so far?

T-Boz… what if you were to bifurcate the blog entries in half: Section A would be for the 18-35 female audience; Section B would be for the 18-35 male audience.
